New Hair Girls & Happy Mothers Day! ♥

| On :
First of all I apologise for not blogging for a very long time, few weeks infact! I ended up recovering from tonsillitis, laryngitis, chest infection AND acute asthma something all at the same time, I tried my best to blog but all I wanted to do was sleep and sleep. Eventually when I was better I ended up having a nut allergic reaction, so March hasn't been the best of months for me however I am now better yay!

It's Mothers day today, and Happy Mothers day to all the wonderful mummies out there, you are all doing an amazing job. So back onto the topic. I needed a hair cut, I needed something doing to control it. I had all different types of reddy brown and chocolate colours strands, terrible. I went to my hairdressers Maurice because he is amazing and really knows his stuff. I have been going to him since I can remember. He gave me all the advice I needed and made sure my hair stayed in the best condition. I told him exactly when I had a one to one consultation. I wanted the a brown base without the reddy tone, and caramel/blonde highlights. Maurice took a strand of my hair to practice on to know what works and what doesn't without the need to strip. Maurice absolutely tries his best to avoid the need to strip hair because it can ruin the hair.

I booked in for the next day and he shown the the strand of hair he took and it was much lighter than what we expected considering my hair was a brown/black/red colourful mess. He applied the foils and used a lifting tint to make my hair natural and covered 50% hair in foils for my highlights and then applied a brown permanent colour everywhere else for my base. I was really excited and made me feel comfortable, I wasn't scared of the outcome because I knew I was in safe hands however I was a tiny bit nervous just because having these highlights were a new thing and a big change to me.

It only took an two hours for everything including cut and blow! I am so happy with how much the caramel bits lifted, it lifted more than the strand we practiced on. I do want it lighter but obviously we can't make it any lighter in the first go, so I have booked another appointment next month before I go to Nice in France to get it where I want it and also have more strands of this caramel colour in more areas.

I am extremely happy and Maurice is such a good hairdresser, he will recommend how much needs to be trimmed but he won't do anything you don't want to do if your not happy with. He specializes in hair extensions such has bonds etc, he also has worked with famous people and for Granada too! Definitely recommend him, he has his own salon at his home and everyone receives a personal ONE to ONE consultation and treatment, it is truly relaxing.

If you are from Manchester, you can add him on his facebook for appointments and more information. It was definitely worth every penny, all this information is true from experience and writing about him because he deserves it.
