Benefit "Fake Up" Concealer ♥

| On :
Ladies, we are get them. It's natural, it's normal, it's fine! Get what Ashleigh?. You know them imperfections, uneven skintone, a bit of redness, that annoying spot you wake up to in the morning and ask yourself "that was not there last night", the dark horrible circles we get from lack of beauty sleep. I get them all the time, if you don't your a miracle haha! So us unlucky ladies need to get rid of them, well at least hide them and to do that we need a good concealer.

The silver tube of miracles, that is what this product is! Don't be confused, it is not a lipstick yet it does look like one! I do apologise that it looks quite messy and I don't have the packaging it comes in, has I have had it for a while and thought I would do a review because it is such an amazing product!!

I will hype this product to the max, it deserves it. I couldn't wait to try it. I find it really hard to find a concealer because they either look cakey, dry, patchy or just don't last, BUT Benefit's Fake Up is my holy grail concealer product. It is a crease controlling and provides the perfect amount of hydration especially under the eyes!

The texture, most important bit for me in a concealer aswell has coverage. The concealer is extremely creamy but in a good way and quite thick, but not in a cakey way! The concealer is in the core of the product surrounded by a very rich but hydrating moisturiser I would say, which sinks into the skin to give it a gorgeous flawless finish that lasts all day.

I chose the medium shade, which is spot on with my skin! However there is only three shades which is a bummer, with it being so good they definitely should introduce more shades. I am quite yellow and shade 02 was spot on, which was surprising. I love the little yellow tinge it has! Don't be disappointed that there is only three shades because it blends in really well.

When blended it looks super nice and glides on really easy too. There was no visible lines, creases, patches or anything! Considering it is really hydrating and moisturising the pigment is spot on and stays on pretty much all day for me! It covers my dark circles and the uneven skin tone so well! I just did about two coats under my eyes and instantly the imperfections disappear! Definitely lives up to the expectations that people want/need.

The concealer is buildable from medium to semi full coverage I would say, I do wish there was slightly more radiance to the product but with it being really moisturising and hydrating, it does make it a dewy finish. This concealers coverage does make me look less tired, it hides them grey circles! Something I have noticed is that, when my eczema was flaring up during cold mornings in winter. I used this on my eczema due to the redness and POW! It covered up the bright red undertone, it cut out the red completely and it didn't look like I suffered from redness at all. So if you suffer from redness and need a concealer that completely cuts it out then get purchasing this beauty.

A concealer needs to last pretty much all day, and without the need to top up either. Well ladies (maybe gents too), come closer and read this. The lasting power is AMAZING. I don't need to top up or anything, I don't even have to look in the mirror to make sure it is okay. On my skin it stays on ALL day through a good eight hour shift. This surprised me because I wasn't expecting it to stay on so long due to all the moisture it has. But hey!

Little tip for oilier skins: If you want to wear this concealer just make sure you set it with a powder!

Overall, it actually benefits me for coverage and hydration. It is a perfect concealer that I would say dry-normal skins would love and enjoy wearing it. However oilier skins it might be slightly to rich but you could try and wear it,you may need to powder to set it to last a good few hours. I don't think it needs any improvements, not to heavy or thick for me.

Thank you Benefit for such a perfect concealer, have you guys tried this concealer?

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer & Foundation ♥

| On :
Deary me, it has been a very long tiring week already and it isn't even over! Waking up at 5am is quite hard work and to look decent in the mornings is quite a bit of trouble haha! I thought I would invest in some radiance wake me up makeup from Rimmel!

I'll start off with the with the concealer because sometimes you use this first! This is the "Wake Me Up" concealer. I would say this is a lovely packaged concealer that is packed full of vitamins to help give you brighter, illuminous and more radiance under the eye area and also give a anti-fatigue look! Sounds perfect doesn't it, especially with my dark circles.

The concealer is such a gorgeous creamy texture but not thick at all. It is quite oily once applied on face but only if you apply a lot! I find it does look lovely under my eyes has it doesn't sink in my lines, no patchiness, and applies evenly too. I haven't used this for spots or blemishes has I don't really suffer from them however I think it would give you medium coverage for any imperfections you may have. I do suffer from a little bit of redness which is from my eczema and it works wonders! It really does block that pinky, red undertone in the skin!

I may of already said in a few posts or maybe all haha that I have really dry skin and finding a good concealer that does accentuate my dryness is a bit of a struggle. However with this gorgeous concealer it doesn't cling to my dryness or cause any patches on my skin, also doesn't cause any sort of flakiness! I use either the Real Techniques contour brush or simply dab it on and smooth it out with my fingers!

For redness & pigmentation, I would definitely give it a massive thumbs up also for medium coverage around the eye area especially darker circles. It is definitely affordable and I think it is good quality for the price you pay. Worth a try and you may fall in love with it!

My favourite product out of the two "Wake Me Up" foundation, it sure is yummy. Has you may see my foundation is slightly darker than my concealer, because I do like it like that. It gives me a bit more glow and I can sure highlight with it too! So the foundation is my skin tone because you look at both shades and become confused to why they are noticeable different haha.

I have had this foundation for a while now, and it still looks unused but I promise you I have used it quite a few times! & I thought it is about time to write about it. This foundation has been the latest craze since it launched which is impressive! So maybe slightly late reviewing this product but ay! It is definitely a new drugstore foundation favourite!

Once it is all blended and applied it looks absolutely flawless, wowza. It looks so natural and perfect and the shade is perfect for my skin tone considering I am yellowy skin tone so it isn't noticeable at all. I would wear this more in summer times has it is not heavy or cakey and your skin can breathe and doesn't require lots of powder to keep it looking oil free, grease free or even melt! It carries on looking good throughout the day even in them winter times when I bought it.

You may think I am weird but Rimmel has "their" scent, the beautiful scent they have is throughout and consistent in this foundation and you most definitely know its a Rimmel product by the scent haha! When you put it on it smells so refreshing. It is a lovely creamy texture that has a hint of gel to it I would say. Definitely moisturising on my skin, has my skin craves for moisture and hydration so massive bonus on my skin! YAY. With it being so moisturising it can feel quite tacky but that disappears within minutes so no need to worry.

One little pump will do nicely for all over the face, really easy to blend so this foundation will last you a good amount of time! The coverage is medium but you can turn it into a full coverage easily. So you oilier skins are probably wondering "well can I use this", I would say yes but you would need powder, maybe a matte powder to set it into place with it being so moisturising but you can definitely give it a go! You may have to powder throughout the day depending how oily your skin is but ay don't let that stop you.

Have you tried the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer & Foundation?

It's BLUE - Face Of The Day ♥

| On :
Today I went out with my mum and ladies from the gym, it was very nice and such a lovely relaxing sunday!I had a yummy plate of nachos and a very chocolatey hot chocolate. Whilst I was getting ready I thought I would do a face of the day post. Why not? I don't do many, so it is going to be more pictures and what I used rather than a massive review about it.

The bag you can see in the back, is in-fact my inspiration for my makeup I did today. I loved the black and blue contrast so I thought "hmmmm let's do black/blue contrast eyes" so this is what I created. Below is the little bits of makeup I used to create this look.

The green palette you see is the gorgeous palette I used. "In the Garden" palette by Stila Cosmetics. I only used the one colour which you might of guess already, is "Freesia" the cobalt blue shade. It is delicious when I put it on. I simply used one of Clinique's defined brushes and applied it roughly under my eyes, because with this sort of look, I think the untidy look is better.

On my base face haha I used;

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
is best definitely beautiful and perfect glowing medium coverage foundation, that I think any skin type would love!

MAC Select Cover Up Concealer
oh do you have dark circles, any perfections? then purchase this gold wonder! such a perfect coverage.

Benefit Rockateur Blusher/Highlighter
such a yummu plummy blusher, which you can use has a highlighter, want to know more - Click Here

Chanel Universal Bronzer
I used for contouring on my cheeks, again I did a full review so Click Here

The eyeliner was my very favourite Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner
the ultimate perfect black eyeliner, that has a gorgeous felt tip, which is super easy to use!

Of course I had the Eyelure lashes to finish the look, along with L'Oreal's Cheryl's nude because I wanted my eyes to stand out! I would love you to try this look and send me your versions.
